Our agency was established in 1975 with a vision for Native Americans to succeed and achieve success to fulfill their dreams. The Rhode Island Indian Council and it’s satellite offices, provide career assistance to tribal members so that our comm unity can continue to flourish for generations to come. Our non-profit organization operates independently and welcomes all unemployed enrolled tribal members to participate in our programs and services.
We service all Native Americans seeking employment, skills training, job searching, and can also offer some tuition assistance for members continuing their higher education. Serviceable individuals must be enrolled in a state or federally recognized tribe and reside in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. Our goal is to create employable individuals and assist in giving our tribal members economic independence and guidance.
